The Origin

Rolling Hills was born out of KuenyPearson Content Firm as a means of solving our own post-production workflow challenges. As we expanded to overdeliver on client needs (read: speed, quality and quantity), we found ourselves establishing, refining and investing in a process that was, well, designed to overdeliver.

Pillars of Process

Slow is Smooth, Smooth is Fast

Ok, we’ll admit it…we stole this from the Navy SEALs. But, we must say, it’s extremely apt to post-production. When you work in high-speed situations, you need a process that establishes a sturdy foundation so that milestones become muscle memory and projects never stop moving forward.

Assets Need to be Accessible

It’s all too common to hear, “We spent six figures and only got sixty seconds.” While this may have cut it in 2012, it doesn’t fly in 2022. We designed our process to maximize the amount and the accessibility of usable assets—all so you get more out of your production $$$.

Have a Bias for Action

Every project comes with its own set of challenges. Sometimes the script is wall-to-wall; sometimes the boards don’t match the shots; sometimes the story just doesn’t resonate. Whatever it is, the path forward requires finding solutions—not dwelling or amplifying the problems.

The Devil is in the Details

Projects break down into a series of interconnected, sequential details. From the initial scoping to the day-by-day calendar to when and where a VO record session happens, the details can be your enemy or your friend—we choose the latter. We revel in the details and find beauty in the nitty gritty.

“The way to get started is to quit talking and begin doing.”
